I’m a designer with over 16 years' experience affording specialisms in user experience, interaction / motion design, video editing, animation and creative art direction. I’ve also led and mentored designers and enjoy seeing others discover strengths and grow in their careers.

My career has been a journey of discovery taking in the world of film-making, animation and advertising before applying my skills to UX. I’ve worn many hats, shaping me into a well-rounded designer and critical thinker.

I started out in the world of TV documentaries, becoming a video editor, telling stories about people. I built on these skills to tell stories and sell products through animation, motion graphics and stills photography.

In 2017, through projects I was working on during a stint in advertising - I started to move towards UX and human-centred design methods which have now become a driving force in my professional and personal development.

The skills that have served me best over the years have been a natural curiosity, being open to new learnings, an understanding of how human narratives can charge emotions and change behaviours in different contexts.

I’m also highly detail-oriented – I love details.
